There were some clouds as we woke up and hiked to the start of the approach gully. Considering how the weather had been cloudy but non active for the last few days we decided to go for it. A party of 8 was hanging out near the start contemplating what the weather might do and decided ultimately to do something less exposed. This of course freed the route up for our party and we moved along efficiently as two parties of two and roped up for the sections where the climbing got more technical. The clouds stuck around for the morning but never produced any rain, elevating the aesthetics of an already sublime setting. We made it back down to the upper cirque in the early afternoon and feeling inspired by our morning success my wife and I decided to climb the south buttress of Pingora.
