"First hike of the year found me in Hemet. I had climbed Tres Cerritos once before, but this time around I included the East and South summits. Each peak had a use trail reaching the top, so no bushwhacking. Afterwards, I formed a loop by hiking the streets back to the start. " — MikeTeeples • Jan 2, 2023
"Before closing out my Hemet visit, I had one more peak to climb. Tres Cerritos doesn’t have an obvious starting point nor an established trail. After driving around a neighborhood at its base, I found a use trail that runs up the ridge. This is at a point north of the intersection of Devonshire and Warren Road. There is a wide turnout, where I parked at the north end. The use trail begins where the sidewalk meets the dirt. It goes up the ridge and eventually climbs to the peak where there are good views above Hemet. I returned the way I came on the fairly well defined use trail." — MikeTeeples • Nov 22, 2020
