May 16, 2021. First time on the PCT in Washington and first summit in Washington. Lots of poison oak the first few miles. Did the loop part counterclockwise. At the loop junction there is a sign that says “less hard” to the left and “hard” to the right (heartbreak ridge). I went up right and it was steep with a short boulder pile scramble. Coming down the “less hard” trail sucked, it had a lot of loose rock. Next time I’ll come up and down the “hard” trail, no loop.
