Day 3 of Eastern Sierra backcountry skiing trip. After heading too high elevation the previous 2 days (Basin & Independence) and hitting horrendously firm conditions we lowered our ambitions and with a casual 10:30am start decided to head even lower to a sub-peak of Table Mountain near Bishop. And our lack of ambition paid off... we finally hit the corn jackpot. A redemption harvest of classic Sierra corn snow from the summit down to South Lake Road. The corn bomb was deafening... what??
