My brother and I left a note on our car and parked at the end of the pavement on Jefferson Rd. after knocking on the door of the second to last house there and getting no response. We began walking up the dirt road, and the owner of the last home came down on his ATV. We told him what we were doing and he said it was ok. So we continued on that road, then bared right about a mile in and followed that road to its end. We made it up to the main ridge, then followed that south to the summit. The views were great despite the haze.
