Parked at the end of Steele Peak Drive and continued hiking on the 4wd road climbing into the hills. The conical shaped portion of Peak 2483 stands out impressively on the way up. In a half mile, the trail flattens out in a canyon, where Steele Peak comes into view to the west. The old roadway intersects an established canyon road bordered by fencing (the fencing is intended to deter off road vehicles). I crossed the fencing and continued toward Steele Peak. There were faint use trails, but it was mainly an x-country trek up the ridgeline and on to the summit of Steele Peak. After a short visit, I made my way back down to the canyon road and re-crossed it. This time I aimed for Peak 2483. I found a good access trail that elevated to a saddle between its twin summits. I visited the lower one to the east, which is the conical shaped slope marked with a white cross. I then backtracked to the higher summit of Peak 2483. From there, I opted to form a loop by picking up use trails leading down the NE slope and back to Steele Peak Drive.
