From the east, taking the path beside the Baptist church in Lingen, up the muddy drovers path (the Herefordshire Trail). Veered of this at the first gate to keep to the higher ground (a large fallen tree hides the path somewhat). Through confier woods then deciduous trees higher up. Some remnants of snow on the ground. Pleasant copse on top. A bit further along there are some pens set up, maybe for pheasants or rabbits even, but I didn't see either. From here, I continued to Stapleton hill -- past a small quarry with an abandoned Saab, I think, a farm and a couple of houses -- then returned along the Herefordshire trail to Noisy Hall, up Cole's Hill, then back along the trail to Lingen.
