A hot sunny day, set off from Alpbach went up the lift to Hornboden, then up the track, past the Wiederberger Horn and Hochstand, to some small lakes. From there the path goes up very steeply and care is needed. The traverse along the ridge from the Standkopf to the Gamskopf is on a very narrow path with steep drops, where also care is needed.
