I've read and heard from many people that you MUST have a 4X4 to get to the "trailhead." After hiking four county highpoints and seeing the roads in pretty good shape, we decided to try south tent. The road was long but our 15 passenger van had no problems!
There's no trail up, so we just hiked up to the saddle, then south to the top of south tent, turn around and hike to north tent, turn around and headed back to the saddle for our return to the van.
