"We started from Leboeng village. Their king also walked with us up the mountain and told us a lot about their heritage. Me and Viana with other members of the Mpumalanga Mountain goats club hiked the route. We also watched the Cape Vulture Colony on the cliffs On our way back the group split up and me and Viana went to site to swim a bit, only she was keen to get in. We arrived back at the village and were treated with lunch before we depart." — williamhugo • Apr 19, 2024
"Went on the Elephant Gorge hike of 14km. The hike started only at 8h30 and I was there early. Decided to climb this peak while waiting for other hikers. Locals call the peak Selomole mountain. I started from the car was parked. It was 3.35km up and only 2.5km down on the other side. Fairy easy climb. On the map it shows Ga-Mabin but there is a smaller village called Bochabelo." — williamhugo • Jul 23, 2022
"After Wolkberg and Mount Ararat we started early the morning past Cleo's falls up to Serala and down the gully up to other Wolkberg and Deny's nose. Slept the night over next to the gate and of to basecamp back to Phalaborwa. This time we used some ropes while climbing. Hectic hike.Gps tracking still a problem in the area and signal. Will definitely go again this year with some other gps and more photos." — williamhugo • May 30, 2021
