With Jonathan Bellarby. 3” of snow fell overnight. From main road near junction with the road to Incheril. Via Incheril and Gleann Bianasdail. Eagle sighted. We ascended the SE ridge of Sgurr an Tuill Bhàin to reach the summit. There was much soft snow, intermittent falling snow and mist. We started the traverse of the ridge towards the main summit of Slioch. A very cold wind arose, blowing snow. The ridge was difficult due to the large amount of soft snow. Due to the conditions we retreated to the lowest point on the ridge, descended diagonally under Sgurr an Tuill Bhàin to Gleann Bianasdail and hence back via the outward route. Many deer seen. Good views from time to time of snow covered peaks.
