"From the golf course parking lot, I crossed the railroad tracks and passed through the State Park gate to begin the Scully Ridge Trail. Along the way within the first mile, I left the trail and did a short x-country climb of Scully Hill. Unlike last time, there was a nice new register on top. When returning to the Scully Ridge Trail, I continued to Peak 1155. Just like with Scully Hill, I had to leave the trail to do a short x-country to the summit pole. After visiting the peaks, I took a connector trail down to the Lower Aliso Canyon Trail, turned right, and formed a nice 6.5 mile loop hike back to the parking lot. Nice way to start my day." — MikeTeeples • Feb 20, 2022
"From Green River Golf Course in Corona, I parked at the north edge of the lot. I walked about 100 feet down the road leading to the railroad tracks. I bypassed the locked vehicle gate and crossed the tracks to reach the Scully Ridge Trailhead on the other side. The Scully Ridge gate was a much friendlier gate which indicated that it was on state park property. Scully Hill stands tall right behind where the wide dirt roadway begins climbing toward it. Hiking is rather straightforward where I followed the road to a point where it began passing Scully Hill. A use trail leaves the road from there and continues to the prominent perch that is clearly visible from the 91 Freeway. The use trail is an overgrown semi-bushwhack, but it is also a short venture to the peak. After reaching the top, I took a different use trail back to the Scully Ridge Trail and simply returned to the Golf Course. Visit #3 to Scully Hill, the last visit was 14 years ago!" — MikeTeeples • Oct 10, 2020
"A quick hike while it was relatively cool... Parked at Green River Golf Course, and took the path down to the train tracks. Do No Enter signs all over the place, so we interpreted that to mean no golf carts :) Over the tracks, then onto the road for Scully Ridge and up to the peak. Bushwhacked the tall grass to get between trail and summit; it's getting warm enough that snakes hiding in the tall grass are a concern though. Had intended on going on to Peak 1155, but turned around at the point where I "thought" it was. Then discovered never got close?! Doh! Next time... " — marc • May 4, 2019
"It was waaaaaaaaay to hot for us to be out here! Since we were in town to watch the Dodgers play the Angels, we decided to hike Scully Hill as a tribute to Vin Scully, the retired long time Dodgers announcer. We parked at the golf course and hiked the trail that went directly up to Scully Hill, then followed the trail across the ridge to Peak 1155. Again, it was way too hot to be out here, but luckily, we are from Vegas, so we are somewhat used to it." — Kevin • Jul 7, 2018
"Long drive for a 30 minute hike, try this ascent if you have to be on the 91 Freeway and have an hour or so to spare. Parked in the Green River Golf Course Parking Lot (open to the public), walked down to and across three sets of train tracks, then over to signed Scully Ridge Trail (posted no motorized vehicles on trail). The route up isn't particularly steep, followed the ridge trail/road past Scully Hill then doubled back to the highpoint where an OC Benchmark is located. On return just went straight down the side of the Hill until meeting Scully Ridge Trail, then back to the Golf Course Parking area. Nice views towards Sierra Peak, Audubon Society's Star Ranch and it's winding road, and west towards the coast." — BradStemm • Feb 10, 2013
