We were a party of three. We left Sudbury, Ontario for an approximate two hour drive to Watershed and had breakfast. We then headed East on hwy 560 to Shining Tree (67 km). Then drove another 10 to 15 kilometres to Grassy Lake Road (on North side of hwy). Drove up the road until we arrived to a bridge which shortly thereafter would lead us to a single lane dirt road heading East. The road ends abruptly with loss of bridge where one must cross the Grassy River with canoe or boat. On the other side the old bush road tapers down to a scarcely visible trail. Some one km of walking you head directly south to the mountain. The mountains scenery is memorable. The mountain itself isn't too difficult to climb unless you attempt the rock face which has interesting strata. Remain very aware on way back when searching for trail back as it may be very easy to miss. From Sudbury or Timmins, it is doable in a day.
