Yesterday was a big day; I'm still a bit tired. In 13.27 miles I picked up 7 of these Issaquah Alps lovelies. First up was Beaver Hill. I started from the Hwy 18 parking lot. See my Beaver Hill report for more details.

Sally’s Summit was the next peak to climb on my East Tiger extravaganza yesterday. I had just come off of Beaver Hill by way of the NNW exit, and then climbed the logging roads to get to the Sally’s Summit access trail. As you climb up the logging road, you’ll pass through a gate, and then you’ll see a rock on the left side of the road. I’ve attached a picture of the access trail here. You’ll see the rock I’m mentioned on the left side of the picture. Look closely and you’ll see my trek poles on the right side of the pic. There is a boot path both in front of the rock and in front of the trek poles. I recommend the one in front of the trek poles, but they both get you to the same place.

This short little summit climb was one of the most pleasant of the day in my opinion. There was no view at the top, but the forested climb and steep slopes to either side of the ridge climb were just beautiful. I may also have extra-fond memories due to my general dislike of the previous peak I had just climbed (Beaver Hill). I can’t say. But I do know it was very pleasant getting up there. Enjoy!

My next peak along my 7 summit adventure was East Tiger Mountain.
