Leading a Waymark party based at Pralognan. From Pont de la Pêche we walked south on GR 55 to Réfuge de Péclet-Polset. From there we went NW over a spur to reach Lac Blanc, which is very scenic. We continued steeply NW to Col du Soufre. There was quite a lot of névé, but it was not difficult. I and three other members of the party scrambled to the summit of point 2926m* south of the col. The return was via the outward route. The weather was excellent. *2020 map shows height as 2921m.
