Started walking at Gribben Flat on the Mikonui River at about 110 metres above sea level and after a day and a half of walking reached the summit of Remarkable Peak 1790 metres via the Healey Spur and Galena Ridge route. It doesn't sound a big vertical climb but there was a lot of ups & downs along the way, bush & scrub to contend with before the open country was reached & a fair distance to travel over rough country.

I was accompanied by Neil Bradley & Diane Harries. We stayed a night on the way up and another night on the way down in the old deer cullers hut at Healey Creek. We were the first visitors to the hut since November 2013.
