As far as I can determine, Red Hills is the 3rd highest named summit in Kansas, however, this is assuming the 3575-foot spot elevation is the top of an individual summit named Red Hills and that Red Hills is not just the name for the entire area. After studying the topographic map, I feel the 3575-foot spot elevation is indeed the summit of a raised area of land called Red Hills and not a general name given to the region. In any case, Red Hills is a simple drive up on a good gravel road and the spot elevation is in the center of the road, although the east side of the road was slightly higher, probably caused by road grading. There is a 360 degree view here of typical flat Kansas prairie.
