Spotted this peak on my trip to Reno last year. Figured I'd give it a go today, so I ran from the hotel south to the peak. It was farther away than it looked, much bigger than it looked, and far steeper than it looked. I knew there was a trail up the ridge from the south, but I wanted to scramble straight up on the ascent and then take the trail down. Wow it was tough! Thankfully no rattlesnakes :)
