I parked east of the peak along the main road and began to hike up the wash to the base. Soon it got steep, and I had to deal with a lot of loose rock and vegetation in places. I worked my way up among the rock outcroppings and noticed a natural arch. As it turned out, I ended up ascending right to the arch, walked through it, and then saw the summit. I pushed it up to the other side of the summit block, and then found the route up. It was a climb there, and maybe a class 4 or 3 rating. After summiting I descended a more direct way back to the wash. This was one of the toughest climbs I have done, but I also wasn't feeling 100%.
