Leading Waymark party based at Pralognan. From Mont Bochor cable car station. We followed a steep path up by ski lifts to a small col (point 2332m), where we turned off left on a path which climbs then contours round on a fine, slightly exposed balcony route, to Col de Leschaux. There were fixed chains at one point, but it was not difficult. We ascended to the summit of Pointe de Leschaux, with a little scrambling, and back to the col. We continued to Refuge du Grand Bec. We returned by descending NW via point 2067m, then SW via Bois de Fours and les Turos to the fenêtre. We continued over the col west of Mont Chevrier, then via Couloir des Rossets to Pralognan. Heavy rain towards the end in spite of a forecast of good weather.
