Headed up from village of Champfer following a creek on pleasant wooded trails. Once above treeline it was a big slog up to the bivouac hut. At the hut/shack, I was nearly spent but after seeing a few spots of blue sky, decided to go for it. The route up Piz Julier’s airy ridge is really long, but def a classic. Reminded me of the long ridge of Capitol Peak in some ways. Didn’t bring enough food & water and started bonking on the long way down, textbook mistake. Idiot.
