The day started cool and cloudy, but halfway up Puntarrón it began to clear up and the sun was beating down hard. From the top of Puntarrón I take a path indicated in Peakery that descends quite vertically along the northwest face and connects with the path that leads to Picacho peak. At the top of the Picacho a wooden platform has been placed where I have been able to eat and rest comfortably. I was surprised to see some ponds at the base of Puntarron because we are in a situation of drought due to lack of rain.
