Snow and ice on the trail. Long day...We left at 8ish from the trailhead, took an excursion from the trail to look for the Honeymoon mine that we were unable to locate. There were several spots that were covered in ice on the way up so be careful. We ate a snack at the lake then headed up the mountain. There was a clear trail in the snow all the way to the summit. To reach the summit you have to trek a long way cross-country gradually climbing up to get to the true summit. We did not get back to the car until 5:30.
