Bear Swamp Preserve is well maintained by the Trustees of Reservations. Somewhat rugged area with short ups and downs. Crossing Bear Swamp Road, the trail to Peter Hill is a right-of-way maintained by the Town of Ashfield. Nice trail, not steep. An easy climb. Nice historic signage at the top of Peter Hill but no view.
