A day trip from Wodonga. Travelled out towards Koetong and made my way to the Mt Lawson car park. Walked up the track and climbed to the summit to activate VK3/VE-129 after setting up the radio gear. Made 11 contacts. Returned to the car and headed around to Walwa, then south into Burrowa Pine Mountain National Park. Made my way to the start of Wermatong Track and drove around to just below the summit of Peak 770 m (VK3/VE-213). Had to clear some fallen branches from the track along the way in. Walked up to the summit and set up on the edge of the track. This was the first activation of the summit. I made 18 contacts before I packed up and travelled back to Wodonga.
