Left Hobart and drove to Sorell, then north to Runnymede. Drove up the access road to Mount Phipps. Parked in a saddle below the summit and walked up to the peak. Set up a short distance from the communications compound and made 12 contacts to qualify VK7/SC-027. Returned to the car and drove east to Bicheno and organised a site at the caravan park.
Drove down to Harvey Farm Road to park. Walked down the access road to some private property, and veered into the bush to bypass the private land. Worked my way through the bush to a spur coming off the SE side of the summit and climbed up the spur and then north to the summit of Peak 275 m. SOTA calls the summit Cape Lodi 274 VK7/EC-045. I set up the gear and made 30 contacts. I packed up and retraced my access route back to the car and headed back to the caravan park for the night.
