Took a trail-less route from Davis Road. Started at a locked vehicle gate near a hunting club. Began hiking on a dirt road before looking for good access points to begin the climb. Tried an assortment of use trails and game trails to reach an upper bench. Continued with the x-country ascent to the top. The views over Lake Perris SRA were well worth the effort. On the way back down, I was able to take a more direct route back to the starting point.
