Knowing Peak 1275 ft is on the FDR State Park boundary with private land, I approached carefully from the State Park side (east side) wearing hunter safety orange cap and shirt. Nearing the peak I heard gunshots and saw a hunter's stand, then I quickly retreated down the State Park side (east side). The peak I circumnavigated had an old building on top and an old road on the east side.
