After a few days with Rod, I headed home. From Nimmitabel, I headed south to Bombala and then west to Delegate and on towards Bonang. West on TingaringyTrack, then north onto Rays Track until I reached a tree across the road. I loaded up and walked up the track to the summit. I set up the radio gear and activated VK3/VG-038, making 19 contacts on this first activation. I packed up returned to the car and then made my way to Koolabbra Track and drove up to just below the summit. I walked to the summit and then set up on the edge of the road to activate VK3/VG-061. Another first activation, with 15 contacts made. I returned to the car and headed to Bonang, then south to Orbost and west to home. A minor diversion after Bairnsdale bagged summit VK3/VT-070 for another first activation, with 14 contacts made. This summit was valid at the time, but has since been made inactivate as Mount Moornapa has prominence.
