Parking in a car park among pine trees near a small shrine, we took the steep concrete road up past the monastery and the taverna (not recommended - proprietor very rude) to where a paved path wound up to the summit, with over 300 steps. The summit is covered by the shrine housing a miraculous ikon. Fine views from this lofty perch. After visiting the shrine we descended by our outward route to drive to the airport.
