Steep, but very short. Enjoyed views from the end of the trail, then walked up into the woods to the true summit with its moonshiners' flagpole. Saw first of the season black-eyed susans and all the tree varieties that Frank identified.
Joan stopped short of the summit, descended to the bench near the trailhead, but we enjoyed the one at the top end of the trail.
