Hiked up from Andy Lane parking area nursing a hamstring and sciatica. Chilly, windy day that warmed with the sun and forest, but was brutal on the ridge. Wind stung our face, but the winter views through the trees were worth it. Across the Catawba Valley we could easily view Sharp Top and Flat Top (Peaks of Otter), Apple Orchard, and Purgatory.
