"Clockwise circuit in summer. Began 1st evening with 1 hr walk in to Mt Arthur hut.
2nd day crossed Mt Arthur to trilobite hut via Gordon's pyramid, tablelands and lake peel.
3rd day bashed through beech forest straight up onto iron hill, past lake Sylvester, Down to Cobb dam, over to takaka river and up the flora valley to my start point.
Great range of geology and flora. Loads of weka. " — AidanAstwood • Jan 22, 2023

"Picked poor weather. Cloud turned to rain about half way up and the wx started getting very windy and colder. I had to stay a little below and in the lee of the summit ridge as ascending and descending to avoid being blown over by the icy blast. Next day I could see snow had fallen after I got off the hill." — glennj • Dec 11, 2020
