I approached from Dom Dom Saddle and travelled up Road 8 to close to the summit of Mount Vinegar. I parked and walked the short distance to the summit area to set up my portable radio station to activate VK3/VC-005. I made 6 contacts before packing up and travelling back to Dom Dom Saddle, then back to Healesville. I made my way around to Warranmate Hills Nature Conservation Reserve to park on the southern boundary. I then walked up to the summit of Briarty Hill to again set up the radio gear and activated VK3/VC-029, making 11 contacts. I then packed up and returned to the car and then drove home.
