Walked from the carpark at the SE end of the Lake Kaniere Walkway. After about 700m I left the track and headed up the east ridge to the summit. On the top I stopped to photo a large wooden trig beacon that is now overgrown by trees. The descent to the Lake Kaniere Walkway was by means of the NW ridge. The lower slopes of this hill are clothed in dense undergrowth including supplejack and kie kie vines however the walking gets better as you gain altitude. There are no tracks to the top but the Walkway is useful to get you to the base of the hill. There are views of Lake Kaniere in places through gaps in the forest canopy.
