Parked in parking lot at 2945 The Villages Pkwy in San Jose, CA. Walked East with my dog Posey on The Villages Pkwy and continued East on The Villages Fairway Drive until I reached the Villages equine facility. Walked through the gates at the equine facility and continued on Rawhide Trail but switched over to Skyway Trail at the first opportunity. (If you don't want to walk through the equine facility, you can walk to the end of Village View Drive instead. There's a gate to the hills at the far end of the garden there which dumps you onto Skyway Trail.) Took Skyway Trail to the top of the hills where I took <unnamed> Trail South to Mount Misery. Skyway Trail takes you past a number of park benches and a mailbox at the top of the hills which contains a logbook and binoculars placed by a local hiking club. Mount Misery has no logbook. On the way down, I just took Rawhide Trail the whole way down from <unnamed> Trail, because it's a little more direct. If I had to do it again, I would take Rawhide Trail up the whole way. Rawhide Trail is also shaded almost the entire way; whereas Skyway Trail is not shaded, so keep that in mind when hiking on a hot day. See the path I took and the elevation profile on Strava:
