I was on a NOLS semester in New Zealand. We hiked up to this campsite and since everyone was so pooped we decided to take a rest day. That night a huge storm rolled in and was threatening to take down our tents. Every 15 minutes or so for at least 5 hours we had to get out of our sleeping bags and re-secure the guy lines, and brace the poles of our tents with our backs to make sure they didn't snap under the stress. Finally got to sleep around 4:30am and woke up early and cheerful to about a foot and a half of snow on the ground.
