This is a nice trail, especially considering you can get up it and down faster than a couple of the smaller local mountains that lack the views. Even so, it's steep up there. I fell several times on the way down, not enough to hurt, but enough to make me wish for trekking poles. The views from the top are wonderful. You can see out across the high plains as far as the Earth curves, and out towards the Rockies the other direction. Pike's Peak was beautiful off in the distance in the evening light. A great trip.
