Classic loop in the Lakes Basin of the Lost Sierra. My first time up here and it was amazing. Rugged trail passing several lakes and then a switchbacky ascent of Mt Elwell. Tried to trailrun entire way but got beatdown to a hike up Elwell. Great, deserted summit. Could see Lassen in the distant haze.
