We did Mt. Avalon after going to Mt. Tom and Mt. Field. We had no views from Tom or Field. Fog didn't give views more than 100'. When we got to Mt. Avalon, fog suddenly lifted and we had a fantastic view very much worth the whole trip. We could see the Highland Center Lodge where we started. It's funny how it looks a day away from the summit, but we got down in around an hour or so.
