On my way back from a Drs appointment in Mt Kisco I stopped off at the small parking lot for Sunny Ridge Preserve to check out/off another park in the Walkable Westchester guidebook. A nice spring day in the middle of February with temps in the mid to upper 50’s. I swap out clothes and trail runners in the car then proceed to red line all the trails in the preserve under a sunny blue sky.

Encountered two dog walkers and four deer while walking the hilly property. Wandered off trail just a bit to tag the top of Motts Hill which didn’t offer any view. Managed to get in 3.8 miles on the reported 2.8 miles of trails do to backtracking and taking some unmarked trails. The preserve is great for dog walkers or for a short hilly trail run. Other than the small ponds not much for the average hiker to enjoy.
