As far as I can determine, Motti Hill is the 4th highest named summit in Kansas. It is located on public land designated as "WIHA" (walk-in hunting area). A sign says the area is open Sept. 1 through Jan. 31, although that might simply mean for hunters. I don't know if this includes peakbaggers who just want to grab an easy summit. At any rate, my son, Marshall and I parked on a gravel road directly south of Motti Hill and only had to hike .2 mile to its summit with a fine view in all directions of typical flat Kansas prairie. Several trucks drove by while we were there with our car in plain view on the side of the road. No one stopped or even slowed down to investigate our presence.
