I take a route through Sierra Espuña to climb Morrón de Abajo, this peak is almost the twin of Morrón de Arriba but at a lower altitude. The difficulty is that to get to it at first there is a good path but then most of the route is through mountains through very rocky terrain with areas of forest. It is quite isolated because I have not found remains of civilization except for some rock landmarks. I saw quite a few minerals and some herds of Atlas mouflons. I ate at the top with no company other than the strong wind, but the distant view of other mountains was worth it.
