From the Giro del Campo, there is a sign for the path to Monte Lupone. A gradual ascent through the forest for about 350m until there is a bifurcation. The right hand path is the route for Monte la Croce, marked by blue paint splodges. This works its way along south of the mountain, rising to the saddle that gives Monte la Croce its prominence. At this point the route up, roughly north is through some brambles and trees, gradually becoming clearer as you reach the rocky top. From here descended to bifurcation and went on to Monte Puzzo. Drizzly and windy, but not too bad when sheltered in the wood
