I had an incredible hike, going solo and reaching the hot springs by 10 am before attempting the summit. There was some lingering snow, but my ice cleats proved incredibly useful. Wearing running shoes would have been unsafe given the conditions. This mountain is a significant challenge for me as I typically stick to peaks under 3000m. Moving from Ha Ling to Mist Mount was a considerable leap, especially as my first solo summit. The hike was manageable, but I ran out of time and stopped just 500m from the summit. I'm planning to complete this hike in the summer of 2024 and considering inviting friends along for the fun. The trail had a mix of people; some were heading to the hot springs, while others near the summit were geared up with helmets due to loose rocks. It was an exciting and varied experience!
