As far as I can determine, Little Pyramids is the 8th highest named summit in Kansas. Prepare yourself for a surprise if you decide to visit this area. Little Pyramids are an extremely interesting geological formation that does not look anything like the usual Kansas landscape. You can park right next to the formations, but in order to climb them you must jump a barbed wire fence, however, no posted signs were visible when my son, Marshall, and I visited them. Most of the formations are impossible to climb, but one structure can be ascended on its northeast side to a point that appeared to us to be the highest in the area. This climb will involve Class 3 work, however, which is a surprise for a Kansas high point!
