From the village square I took the road up towards the Medieval castle (worth visiting). I left the route to cross via a covered reservoir SSE below the crags, following various goat trails up through a gully, scrambly in places, to reach the vegetated plateau. A faint path west brought me to a large cairn and trig point on the summit. I found a much better return route, following a faint path east down a series of terraces, joining a track at 36.0721889N; 27.9366718E. I descended south on this to join a minor road at 36.0712931N; 27.9372731E. I followed this west past the football field to join my outward route towards the castle, and back down into the village for a meal with my wife in the excellent Nikolas Taverna. Solo. Warm and sunny. NW wind.
