Tom and I saw this volcano out of the car window and decided it would be a fun climb to enjoy the sunset. We hiked to the summit of the volcano and around the edge of the summit cone. When we reached the summit I realized that I had lost one of my earrings that Tom had bought me for my birthday. We looked for it as we retraced our steps, but we never found it. When I took my sweater off back at the car the backing to the earring fell out, but no earring. That earring is somewhere on the summit of a volcano in Iceland forever.
