Long hike up: 4.4 miles from starting point at 5,900' to a final summit height of 9,614'. Took me all day!!
Watched BLM rounding up wild horses by helicopter on the way up, saw more horses all the way up to 9,500'. No deer or elk on this trip and all the snow had melted on the peak. LOTS of wildflowers and butterflies at upper elevations. Gorgeous views from the summit.
Route to summit
Started in Felt Canyon on the east side of the range. Had to park up quite a distance from the peak due to Wilderness Study Boundary.
