Camped at the lovely Warner Lake CG. (If you fish, they were jumping out of the water.) Hiked up trail right out of the campground in the morning. Trail was steep in places, but very enjoyable & well maintained. There was a nice little stream for a segment. Connected with the Gold Knob trail to the summit. Views were breathtaking over Castle Valley & back towards Mount Waas. You can see the entire range from here. I've climbed several of the higher peaks and loved them all, but I have to say, this one & South Mountain had the best views. The La Sals are a beautiful range that give a lot. Fantastic views, tons of wildlife, solitude.
